Global Mental Health Journal Club at Duke

We are a student- and trainee-led journal club that meets regularly to discuss research and practice related to global mental health. Our goal is to engage broadly with the field and build community at Duke. Join us for opportunities to learn more about the field and connect with others!

  • Join our meetings between 12-1pm on the 2nd & 4th Friday of every month in Reuben-Cooke Classroom 238 and on Zoom. At our meetings we will do the following:
    • Introduce ourselves.
    • Engage with the article. Read it ahead if you can, but come even if you haven’t.
    • Participate in discussion. Listen actively, share thoughts and questions.
  • Sign up for our listserv! Even if you can’t make it to our meetings, we’ll be sending out interesting articles and other gatherings. To do that send an email to the organizers, Justin Rasmussen or Dirk Davis.
  • Present an article! Anyone is welcome to present, we have written guidelines below to make it easy to follow.
  • Other activities you’d want to see us do? We’re collecting ideas for workshops, social gatherings, and other activities that are in line with our goal. Bring them on Fridays or email one of the organizers listed below.
  • Contact us by emailing Justin Rasmussen or Dirk Davis.
