The GEMINI Research Center relies on individual gifts and philanthropic partnerships to help support our academic missions and to secure funds for the future.

We encourage you to consider supporting the GEMINI by making a gift to the center’s general fund to be used for research, faculty support and education.

Thank you for the continued support.

GEMINI's Scholarship Program

The GEMINI Scholarship Program supports emerging global health researchers by providing financial assistance for advanced studies and critical research. By funding individuals and broader efforts, the program strengthens healthcare systems in low and middle-income countries (LMICs), driving progress and improving public health outcomes.

Meet Dorice: Our Inaugural Awardee

Dr. Catherine Staton, Director of the GEMINI Research Center, and Dorice A. Damas at the 2024 GEMINI @ KCMC Symposium.

Dorice is a medical professional from Tanzania, pursuing her Master’s in Epidemiology and Applied Biostatistics. Her passion for research began at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University, where she worked on public health issues like anemia and malnutrition in children. She has also conducted research on knee osteoarthritis, which was presented at the Tanzania Health Summit.

The Impact of GEMINI’s Scholarship

The GEMINI Scholarship covers Dorice’s tuition, allowing her to fully focus on advanced research in public health. This support helps her gain the skills needed to address critical health challenges in Tanzania and beyond, contributing to better healthcare systems in LMICs.

Support Future Researchers

Your donation will help us continue to empower budding researchers in LMICs, just like Dorice. Contributions go directly toward building research capacity in underserved communities.
