GEMINI is an academic center that harnesses expertise in the creation of methodologic data science solutions with subsequent adaptation for global implementation. We focus on knowledge development and exchange to disseminate solution development and integration globally. This center is the first of its kind in the Emergency Medicine Global Health research field.
The center functions as a space to identify, create, adapt, and utilize data science solutions to solve global health access-to-care challenges. The educational structure unites faculty and creates a peer – senior mentorship platform to utilize these unique and innovative methods. Given the unique clinical perspective of Emergency Medicine, we are taking a health system and societal view to our access-to-care research.
As natural collaborators, this center seeks to highlight strengths of collaboration to solve issues. The center houses resources important to global health systems research to support the implementation of data science projects and facilitate capacity building for global and local learners.
