elementor-size-default\">What I'm doing about it<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-eb61c61 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"eb61c61\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Lapay, a senior at Duke, has spent every summer during his academic career in Durham, finding ways to serve the community. As a volunteer with Root Causes, an effort started by Duke medical students to address food insecurity and other health challenges in Durham, he helps oversee the delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables to people who have difficulty accessing healthy foods. He\u2019s also designed an internship where students work as patient navigators for immigrant and refugee families at a local health clinic. These activities connect closely to Lapay\u2019s academic studies, which focus on health policy and creating access to health services for migrant communities.
