Natan Nascimento is a PhD Candidate at the Nursing Program of State University of Maringá (UEM), Lecturer at Cesumar University (Brazil), and GEMINI’s Research on Research section leader. Their PhD dissertation focuses on new tools to use EMR to identify LGBTQ+ health needs across Brazil, under the mentoring of Dr. Rosana Rosseto de Oliveira and Dr. Joao Vissoci. Working as a Lecturer, Natan teaches classes on Mental Health and Neuroscience and Learning.

Natan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Sciences in Nursing from UEM. They also are a PMH-NP and holds a certificate in Mental Health, Human Rights, and Vulnerable Populations. Methodologically, Natan likes to use GIS and Psychometric to explore the impact of Social Determinants of Health on healthcare access.

Outside of work, you will find them reading a book in the library, playing the piano, writing some fanfics, playing board games or D&D, baking cakes and sweets.
