Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Sciences and PhD in Toxicology at University of São Paulo (USP), with two periods of postdoctoral fellowship at Buntantan Institute and USP. Currently is an adjunct professor at Pharmaceutical Sciences School at Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), and researcher collaborator at Tropical Medicine Foundation – Dr Heitor Vieira Dourado. His research interests centers on snake venoms and envenomation, performing translational studies from pre-clinical (in vitro and in vivo), clinical observational studies and trials, and implementation sciences associated, focusing on snakebite pathophysiology, development and validation of novel therapeutical strategies, and community engagement. He also investigate bioprospecting molecules from animal venoms with potential therapeutic and biotechnological applications.
