Visiting Scholars

Jian Qin

Dr Jian Qin had his visiting scholar at the EBC laboratory at Duke University from 2019 to 2020. His background is in environmental health and environmental epidemiology. His research interests are 1. the effect of genetic environment interaction on health. 2. Heavy metal in the environment impacts human health. 3. Biological markers of contaminant exposure. Shanshan Shi

Dr. Shanshan Shi is a visiting scholar from November 2017 to November 2018. She received her Ph.D. degree in building science and technology from Tsinghua University in 2016. She works as a research assistant professor in School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Nanjing University, China. Her research interests include: indoor air quality, building ventilation and particle aerodynamics.

BeiBei Hu

Dr. Beibei Hu is a visiting scholar from November 2017 to November 2018. She comes from the School of Geographic and Environmental Sciences, Tianjin Normal University, China as an associate professor. She received a Ph.D. in Physical Geography from East China Normal University. Her research fields include: risk assessment of ecological environment and natural disaster & environmental evolution and regional response

Jinpu Jia

Dr. Jinpu Jia is a visiting scholar from September 2017 to September 2018. He comes from School of Geographic Science, East China Normal University, Shanghai, as a PhD student. His research interest is the sources and potential risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in environmental medium. And now he is studying the health risk of vegetables affected by air pollution and the contribution of PAHs from different sources to vegetables.

Qijun Wang

Dr. Qijun Wang is a visiting scholar from August 2017 to August 2018, a senior lecturer, from the College of Food Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, China, obtaining his master and doctoral degree from Chungnam National University, South Korea. His researching fields include: fermentation Science, food freezing, and functional food development.

Chunyan Shan

Dr. Chunyan Shan is a visiting scholar from October 2015 to October 2016. She comes from the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nankai University, China as an associate professor. Her research fields include: atmospheric particulates pollution control, environmental management and transportation planning. She is currently participating in projects related to the techniques and management of PM2.5 emission and control in China.

Huijuan Li

Dr. Huijuan LiDr. Huijuan Li is a visiting scholar from China from January 2015 to January 2016.  She received a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology. She investigates the relationship between the environment and economy.
